William R. Childs, Ph.D., J.D., has been successfully practicing intellectual property law for over 15 years. He has provided legal services in the areas of patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and intellectual property agreements, representing life science and chemical companies, ranging from startups to large multinational companies. Prior to joining BrYet, William worked for several large law firms, including Sughrue Mion, Faegre Drinker, and Haynes Boone. William also has experience operating every aspect of a business because William has been running Childs Patent Law for over 7 years.

William received his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, his Ph.D. in chemistry from
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his B.S. in chemistry from the College of
William and Mary.
