Masakatsu Eguchi, PhD

Senior Scientist

Masakatsu Eguchi received B.S. degree and M.S. degree in pharmaceutical science from Tokyo
University of Pharmacy and Life Science. His Ph.D. degree was granted from Brigham Young University, department of chemistry in 1990. Subsequently, he did postdoctoral work at State University of New York at Stony Brook and at Sandoz Pharmaceutical in 1993. He served as a senior scientist, chief of chemistry, and associate director in pharmaceutical companies and research institutes in Seattle and San Diego till 2020. Masa had been involved in the development of two Phase I clinical compounds in his industrial career. He joined University of Washington, School of Pharmacy as a Research Scientist in 2021 working on drug delivery science and, in 2023, joined a research team at BrYet.
